1.3 Environmental safety
1.4 Social impact
1.5 Positive ecological balance
The cork stopper is one of the few products that has a positive ecobalance. The quantity of carbon dioxide released in the atmosphere during its whole life cycle (from cork stripping to waste management) is compensated in a positive way by the quantity of CO2 transformed in oxygen and molecules that are essential for the life of the plant from which the cork stopper comes.
The ecobalance of the cork will further improve with the possibility of collecting the corks that have been used and use their material for thermal and acoustic insulation.
